Mist + Moss – A Magical Snoqualmie Falls Elopement $5,200

Mist + Moss – A Magical Snoqualmie Falls Elopement

  • Forest
  • Waterfalls

This partial day elopement is the perfect PNW adventure, experiencing one of Washington’s most iconic waterfalls from a private access viewpoint few get to enjoy, and spending lots of intentional time together.

You’ll start the day getting ready together in a cozy setting, slowly and quietly. A beautiful spot for this is the Salish Lodge Inn, which sits right about the falls you’ll later adventure to. You’ll help each other tie ties and button buttons, giggling with each other as you share excitement for the day ahead.

Once you’re both ready, we’ll head to one of the public viewpoints of Snoqualmie Falls, right next to the lodge. There, you’ll gather with a small handful of your nearest and dearest. One of your closest friends or a family member will start off your ceremony, sharing happy memories of your time together. You’ll then exchange vows as the falls roar in the background, all your loved ones as witnesses.

As soon as the ceremony is over, you’ll share a celebratory kiss before finding a quiet spot to sign your marriage license. It’s official; you’re married!

Next, you bid farewell to your loved ones as you and your partner get ready for the most adventurous part of your day: A “just us” hike on a private trail that leads to one of the best viewpoints of Snoqualmie Falls there is.

You’ll take a short drive to the trailhead (I’ll help you with getting a gate key ahead of your elopement day). We’ll grab your gear and we’ll begin a short ~1 mile hike down to the falls. Along the way, you’ll get to experience lush, PNW forest filled with tons of different flora and beautiful second growth trees.

Near the endpoint of our hike, we’ll arrive at an upper viewpoint of the falls where you’ll stop to exchange private vows. As Snoqualmie Falls cascades in the background, you’ll share memories, laugh and cry, and make promises to each other that no one else can hear over the rush of the water.

Once you’ve had these sweet and intimate moments, you’ll take a quick snack break before doing the last leg of the hike. You’ll maneuver down a narrow, dirt trail to the base of the falls – an epic view, where you can marvel at the full beauty of this gorgeous landscape. You’ll have time to wander around the rocks and logs, finding a cozy spot to set up a small private picnic. Once settled, you’ll open some celebratory drinks, eat some delicious sweet treats, and enjoy just a little more quiet time together.

When you’re ready, we’ll start the hike back out. Along the way, you’ll notice even more fascinating forest plants and creatures, all of them seeming to wish you “Congratulations!” as you adventure into the rest of your life together.

Optional Notes & Customization

Winter access to falls is dependent on weather and trail conditions (private access). Public trails are open to other visitors; you’re not able to reserve a spot in public areas for the group ceremony, so this is often best done in the early morning or in an off season (winter, early spring, late fall). I’ll help you with applying for membership to the Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theater in order to gain access to their private trail system, which is where the latter half of the day occurs. Proper Leave No Trace practices are non-negotiable for this and all elopements done on public lands or in nature.
