A jam-packed, full day adventure through multiple areas of Portland, OR where you and your game-loving partner get to explore beautiful city parks, arcade and/or escape rooms, gaming stores, and more!
You’ll start your day with some leisurely getting ready at your lodging, including coffee/tea and a tasty breakfast of fresh pastries from a local bakery. Perhaps you’ll partake in a morning round of your favorite quick card or board game, taking the time to just be present together before all the festivities of the day.
As soon as you’re ready, you’ll head out to your first location: A scenic Portland park (like Forest Park or Hoyt Arboretum) where you’ll enjoy some time in nature together. Wandering through a forest (reminiscent of the Act I Wilderness in Baldur’s Gate III), you’ll enjoy beautiful scenery, wildlife, and some quiet time together. We’ll take gorgeous photos along the way, and you’ll have the space and time to really take in this little patch of nature in the midst of the city.
After your forest adventure, we’ll head into downtown to find a different kind of adventure! In the city, you’ll flex your gaming and teamwork (or competitive!) muscles at an escape room or arcade. With many amazing options to choose from (like Hour to Midnight or In Search of an Exit, and Ground Kontrol or Retro Game Bar), you’ll have a couple hours to fully immerse yourselves in pure puzzle solving, pinball playing, laser tag chasing, button mashing fun.
Once you’ve had your fill of action-packed gaming excitement, we’ll head to a local game store for a lower key experience. You could peruse a place like Guardian Games to search for an expansion to your favorite game or to find a new favorite game, or we could head to a game bar, like Mox Boarding House, where you can play games of all kinds while enjoying a tasty meal.
After you’ve collected your new gaming treasures and achieved sustenance to fuel the rest of your elopement adventure, it’s time for the grand finale: Your ceremony! Close to sunset, we’ll head to an iconic spot in the city, like Cathedral Park. You’ll walk around a bit, finding a spot that feels like “the one”. There, you’ll exchange your vows, finally making your marriage official! After your ceremony, you’ll set up a little celebratory picnic to enjoy some dessert and a toast to your future together.
As the sun goes down, you’ll cuddle up with one another, enjoying the view and dreaming of all the amazing shared adventures you’ll have in all your years together.
