Every single person on your vendor team understands your story because they’ve lived it too. Your queer photographer (me!), queer officiant, and queer florist aren’t just professionals who happen to be inclusive – we’re your community, celebrating alongside you with the joy and reverence your love deserves.
Your day starts slow and intentional at Queer Plants Cafe, where the coffee is incredible and the space feels like a warm hug.
From there, we’ll head to Cathedral Park, where the soaring robin egg colored St. Johns Bridge creates the most stunning natural cathedral above the Willamette River. Your queer officiant will work with you beforehand to craft a ceremony that honors your love and weaves your journey into vows that celebrates your relationship’s past, present, & future. Your florist will have created locally-sourced seasonal arrangements that feel authentically you, whether that’s wildflower crowns, elegant bouquets, or something completely unique to your style.
After your ceremony, we’ll wander the park’s trails for portraits that capture your pure joy against Portland’s dramatic skyline. Then comes my favorite part: a picnic celebration under the bridge with treats from a local queer-owned bakery. Picture sitting together, still in your wedding attire, sharing cake and champagne while the river flows beside you and the city stretches out ahead.
The celebration continues at Stem Wine Bar, where the wife-and-wife owners have created something magical – thoughtful wine flights (with phenomenal non-alcoholic options), delicious charcuterie boards, and an atmosphere that feels both intimate and celebratory. Add the optional tarot reading for a beautiful way to set intentions for your marriage. If you want to extend the day, we can coordinate dinner at ClarkLewis or Kann – both incredible queer-owned restaurants where your first meal as spouses becomes part of something bigger.
This is more than pretty photos in nice locations. It’s about being genuinely seen, celebrated, and held by your community on the most important day of your life.
