This elopement experience is a full, two-day adventure around the Northern Coast. (Make it three days if you dare, I’m not here to tell you what to do.)
On day one, after a laid-back morning getting ready (and getting used to having cameras around), you’ll head out to the coast for your ceremony. This is an exclusive location rental, a place all your own with not a tourist in sight. With uninterrupted views of Dunluce Castle behind you, you’ll stand on the edge of a cliff to exchange vows with wind in your hair and salt in the air.
From there, we’ll travel down the Causeway Coast to another castle ruin. This one stands, crumbling, on a raised headland with the sea visible on both sides. (Truly, a photography dream, it was made for portraiture.)
Our final stop of the day is a third castle (great day for castles, what a time to be alive) that may be the best of the bunch. Climb down a stepped path to a low headland with 360-degree views: you’ve got the sea in front of you, towering cliffs behind you, and a castle ruin you can actually touch right in the middle. This is an edge-of-the-world feeling, and a perfect way to round out day one of your elopement adventure.
Sleep in on day two–you’ve earned it–and meet back up in the late afternoon: we’re going to the Giant’s Causeway. But not the way most people see it. We’ll wind around the back, up above the Causeway, for spectacular views that most people don’t get to see. We’ll then go down to the iconic, 60-million-year old rock formations for sunset, where you’ll get moody, misty vibes or warm, glowing stone. Either way, 10/10, must see.
This two-day experience is the Causeway Coast at its best, and a beautiful way to both see some amazing places and have a personal, private elopement. To make even more of the adventure, you can ride into your ceremony on horseback, or go riding on the beach. Channel that main character energy, and let’s plan something fabulous.
