These high school sweethearts knew friend Brittnee Raksoky would be the perfect photographer to shoot their anniversary adventure session. “We scaled cliffs, rolled in the sand, and got our butts kicked by waves,” Brittnee recalls. “It was so incredibly relaxed and easy to capture their love on camera. Playful love is one of my favorite kinds of love… it’s those goofy genuine moments that tell their story better than any posed photo ever could.” Though the waves were wild and a bit unnerving, Alex and Richy were unfazed, entirely comfortable in one another’s company and willing to get “down and dirty” as Brittnee describes. “They spent the evening playing in the waves and chasing the sunset, hand in hand and wrapped up in each others arms. There is nothing more bold than the image of their love, against a backdrop of stormy seas and rugged cliffs.”

“THEY STEPPED OUT ONTO THE ROCKS TO SHARE A PRIVATE MOMENT TOGETHER, AND THE WAVES WERE CRASHING INTO THE ROCKS BELOW THEM. IT WAS THE CONTRAST OF THE WILD WAVES AND THE CALM OF THEIR LOVE, IT WAS SUCH A POWERFUL IMAGE, AND IT TOOK MY BREATH AWAY.”
