Session: Intimate Wedding

Location:Forest Service outside of Bozeman Montana in the Bridger Mountains

From the Bride:
“Ben and I had always wanted a mountain wedding, but for various reasons settled for a backyard ceremony on a wooded property. When our venue fell through 3 weeks before the big day, it was a blessing in disguise. We pulled it together for our forest service wedding within those 3 weeks. From finding the perfect spot in the woods to making the arbor we’d soon take our vows under. Everyone on our intimate guest list seemed to have a talent to contribute. Therefore our mostly DIY wedding saw us bring a single vendor on board that day: our amazing photographer, Macy. She went above and beyond the call of duty. She strapped in, not only document the day, but to get her hands dirty and her boots muddy in order to tell our story.

The day before the wedding brought some temperamental weather and snow fell all through the night. The day of, we woke up to beautiful blue skies. The snow had melted down low, leaving only the snowcapped mountain tops as a backdrop.

To say the day turned out perfect feels understated. From the brilliant fall foliage interwoven with Montana pines, the snowy mountains, the bugling elk in the distance, our day was magic.”

Thank you to Macy Spencer Photography for sharing this session, and congratulations to Grace + Ben!
