What makes a couple decide to elope?

Maybe couples decide to elope because they don’t want to worry about all of the details that revolve around traditional weddings. On the other hand, some couples may want to elope for the simplicity and beauty of it. For Geri and Brandon, their elopement decision was based on their desire to explore together.

Instead of following tradition and having a big wedding, they both decided to follow their hearts and have an adventurous elopement at Cliffs of Moher in Ireland.

Tell us a little about the couple’s story.

“Geri and Brandon met in the Peace Corp. They are two adventurous, down to earth souls who have a passion for noticing the beauty presented to us in the world. They have a history of adventure. Geri and Brandon met in Namibia and got engaged in the mountains of Guatemala. Therefore, what better choice than to elope in Ireland’s eery and beautiful Cliffs of Moher?” says Brynna.

Did the couple initially want an elopement?

“When they first started planning their wedding, they were going to have a larger, more traditional gathering. However, as they continued throughout the planning process, they both realized that their love for one another was founded on ‘adventure’. Thus, eloping was just the only way to go.”

What was it like being on this wanderlust adventure with the couple?

“Their love for one another is so evident through these photographs. The individuality they both let shine on this beautiful September day did not go undocumented. They hiked many hills and cliffs in their wedding attire to say ‘I do’. Throughout the day they laughed, cried, and laughed so hard that they then started crying again .”
