About This Elopement
Photography by Anna Holden Photo
“Rocio and German’s St. Augustine lighthouse elopement was date night vibes turned elopement…and it was amazing. It wasn’t about traditions, big parties, or checking boxes—it was about them. Every moment felt intimate, intentional, and full of love.
The day features vows at the lighthouse, pretzels, and coffee on St. George Street, mini golf by the bay, exploring the Castillo de San Marcos, and ending the day with a cake picnic and champagne.” [Anna, the photographer]
Permits and Top Tips For Your St. Augustine Elopement
“We were in a city so outside of cleaning up after ourselves, there weren’t any LNT things to consider. There was also no permit required for the lighthouse where they had their ceremony.
If couples are wanting to elope in St. Augustine, here are my top tips:
1. Stay close to St. George Street. That area is super walkable and close to a ton of restaurants and bars.
2. St. Augustine is a little touristy. Look for places off the beaten path so you can experience the history and romance of it all.
3. Night of Lights is such an EPIC time to elope, but keep in mind that it’s very busy at that time of year. Give yourself plenty of time for driving, parking, and planning.” [Anna, the photographer]
About This Couple
“Rocio and German were AMAZING! Their vision for their elopement was ‘epic date night,’ and I really felt like we brought that to life.
Throughout the day, they really wanted to be present and focus on each other.
It was a sweet reminder to slow down and romanticize the hell out of life’s simple pleasures like getting coffee together, enjoying dole whip on a park bench, or having a picnic.” [Anna, the photographer]
Memorable Moments From The Elopement
From the photographer:
“German’s vow book and how they included their kids.
German made a sweet little flip book cartoon inside of his vow book. It was so sweet! And while they wanted the day to be very date night-esque and just the two of them for all the romance, they still wanted to celebrate with their boys. So her parents brought the boys to the picnic at the end of the day where they shared cake together.”
Details We’re Loving
“Mini golf!
As a Florida elopement photographer, my elopements are very custom and very unique.
Incorporating everyday adventures into an elopement is such a unique way to experience your wedding day. The mini-golf was so cute and a really fun yet competitive way to enhance their experience.” [Anna, the photographer]
Final Words of Advice
“I wish more couples knew that you don’t need to have a 10-mile hike to have an adventure elopement.
This elopement day is the perfect example of mixing everyday adventures into your elopement experience. ANYTHING can be an adventure. R+G are proof of that.” [Anna, the photographer]
